Happy Birthday to the Hubs! {aka The Evolution of My Hair}

Today is a special day to my heart. On the 25th of each October I always stop to remember just how thankful and blessed I am that my precious husband, Jeremy, entered the world back in 1979. *wink*

We met in 2000 at a faith-based internship in the “middle-of-nowhere” Texas. He was always with a crowd. I was usually alone. He spoke up. I quietly observed. But we slowly became friends. And then more than friends. Until one day he proposed– and we almost burned down our friends‘ apartment. Not to worry, it worked out– both their apartment AND his proposal.

I couldn’t do this life with such grace and joy without him. We’ve been married for just over 9 years and we’ve been together for 11. Sometimes I let my momma/friend/daughter/etc. obligations pull my attention away from my #1 priority of being his wife–his helpmate– his bride. When I do he graciously loves me and serves me and keeps believing the best in my lack. The way he selflessly lays down his wants day-after-day to take care of our needs astounds me.

Someone I dated before Jeremy once told me, “No one will ever love you as well as I do.” False. {Let this be a lesson to you single ladies to wait before you date! Just sayin’. Lesson learned!}  Jeremy loves me better than I could’ve dreamed to pray for! I AM blessed.

With a one month old Peyton- forgive the pic– it’s a pic of a pic inside a frame!

I say in my profile and I will write it again here: I am so blessed to be married to my very best friend and my sanity-saving hero! We don’t just like being married– We love being best friends. I am one thankful lady. It really does just keep getting better as the years go by.

I Love you!
